Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), one of India’s premier national law universities, is committed to excellence in legal education, research, and institutional engagement. Through its specialised centres and academic initiatives, GNLU consistently strives to bridge the gap between law, policy, innovation, and industry.

In furtherance of this vision, the GNLU Legal Incubation Council (GLIC) a Section 8 company supported under the State Government’s Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP),has been actively nurturing legal innovation and entrepreneurship. GLIC has incubated numerous start-ups and regularly conducts initiatives aimed at fostering enterprise, strategic thinking, and industry-oriented skill development among students.

Building on this foundation, GLIC, in collaboration with the GNLU Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, is pleased to announce the 2nd Edition of the GLIC IPR & Startup Course titled “On Empowering Entrepreneurs: Harnessing IPR for Startup Success”, scheduled to be held on 20th & 21st March 2026 at GNLU.

This intensive short-term programme is designed to provide participants with a structured understanding of the strategic role of Intellectual Property Rights in the startup ecosystem. The course will address:

• Emerging trends in the entrepreneurial landscape
• The role of IPR in innovation and competitive positioning
• IP protection strategies (patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets)
• IP valuation, licensing, and commercialisation
• Dispute resolution and enforcement mechanisms
• Practical tools to secure investments and foster sustainable growth

The sessions will be delivered by leading industry practitioners, including:

• Ms. Vindhya S. Mani, Partner – LKS
• Ms. Naina Gupta, Associate – Krishna & Saurastri Associates LLP

• Dates: 20–21 March 2026
• Eligibility: Open to students (from 2nd year UG Law onwards) across colleges
• Total Seats: 60 (Selection strictly based on Resume and Statement of Purpose)
• Registration Deadline: 6 March 2026
• Shortlisted Candidates Announcement: 8 March 2026
• Registration Fee (upon selection):
– ₹2000 (GNLU Students)
– ₹2500 (Students from other institutions)
(Accommodation charges not included)

Internship Opportunity:
11–13 participants will be shortlisted for internship opportunities during the current year, subject to a two-level assessment and interview process.
