Essential Qualification and Experience
- LL.B. (undergraduate law degree) from a recognized university in India with 3+ years of legal experience
- Associate Member (ACS) with Institute of Company Secretaries India (ICSI) and a valid membership
- Practicing lawyer or in-house attorney at a reputable law firm or corporate legal department, with autonomous responsibility for client advisory, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience spanning both corporate law firm and in-house legal work
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing legal advice and counseling across areas like intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce marketplace, company secretarial matters, and regulatory compliance
- Resolve issues that occur in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts end-to-end ensuring legal and company policy compliance
- Scrutinize business program structures, refine terms and conditions for new and ongoing services
- Review and approve promotional artwork and advertisements for print and digital media, confirming compliance with Amazon’s marketing and advertising standards
- Analyze and assess business processes, draft contract scope, and interpret business requirements
- Operate autonomously while communicating efficiently across all levels of management and team
- Exhibit strong legal and business judgment
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Maintain outstanding interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate and handle complex issues across various company departments
