About the Opportunity
The firm is seeking a qualified advocate with 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join its Dispute Resolution Team in Bengaluru. This role demands strong legal acumen, ownership, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks while influencing stakeholder relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions, and memos
- Attend and argue cases in various courts and tribunals
- Prepare for and participate in trials, mediations, and arbitrations
- Draft legal notices, default notices and respond to legal notices
- Work knowledge of CPC, Consumer Law, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, Contract Law, Limitation, Registration, etc.
- Handle multiple types of suits such as recovery, declaration, possession, injunction, and specific performance
- Conduct precise legal research
- Contribute to firm thought leadership via insightful content
- Participate in CSR, pro bono, and social initiatives of the firm
Eligibility Criteria
- LLB/LLM from a reputed institution with 3 years PQE, preferably in a law firm
- Understanding of applicable laws and procedures
- Membership in state or local bar association preferred
- Excellent research, writing, and strategic analysis skills
- Ability to identify risks and opportunities in legal contexts
