About the Position
NLU Delhi’s Centre for Criminology and Victimology (CCV) seeks two Research Associates for a comparative study examining the legal, functional, and institutional architecture of policing in India versus developed jurisdictions. The project aims to deliver evidence-based recommendations for strengthening institutional performance in policing and governance frameworks.
Eligibility
- LL.M. with specialisation in Criminal Law OR M.A./M.Sc. in Criminology OR M.A./M.Sc. in Police Studies/Administration OR allied subjects from a recognised Indian/foreign university with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Demonstrable research track record in Criminal Law/Criminology/Police Studies/allied subjects.
- Prior research experience including fieldwork and data collection highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist in research, review, and analysis of institutional architecture of policing and governance frameworks across jurisdictions.
- Conduct doctrinal, empirical, and comparative research (literature review, case/document analysis, data-driven inquiries).
- Support drafting of research outputs including reports, briefs, and internal working papers.
- Coordinate with project investigators and external consultants as required.
Emoluments
Nature of Appointment
- Contractual, full-time for eight months (extendable based on project requirements and performance).
