Why Join This Course?
This course introduces students to the architecture, economics, and enforcement of competition law in India, equipping them to understand and analyse how markets are regulated to protect consumer welfare and promote fair competition. Through five structured modules, participants will move from first principles—objectives, history, and institutional design of the Competition Act, 2002—to core doctrinal areas such as relevant market, market power, anti‑competitive agreements, abuse of dominance, and regulation of mergers and acquisitions. The course also demystifies CCI practice by walking through procedures, leniency and compensation mechanisms, and the interface with sectoral regulators, making it highly relevant for careers in antitrust teams at law firms, in‑house roles, policy work, or future practice before the CCI and appellate forums.
Entry-level roles in competition teams typically start at ₹10–18 LPA, while senior lawyers can command ₹30–60 LPA or more. Major law firms, financial institutions, and multinational corporations are actively expanding their competition teams.
