About NLU Delhi
National Law University Delhi (NLUD) in Dwarka, Delhi is a premier law school offering B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D. programs with a focus on rule of law and social justice. Unlike other NLUs, NLUD conducts its own entrance exam (AILET) and hosts specialized research centers.
About the Competition
The NLUD Chair on Justice for Children, in collaboration with UNICEF and the Constitutional Law Club, presents the 1st National Essay Competition “Small Voices: Big Rights.” It examines the intersection of constitutional law and child protection/juvenile justice systems in India.
NLUD Chair on Justice for Children
Guided by Prof. (Dr.) Tasneem Deo, the Chair builds scholarship on child rights in criminal justice, supports legal representation for children, and mentors future child rights researchers/lawyers. It combines academic insight with practical engagement.
About Constitutional Law Club
Founded by NLU Delhi students under Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai and Prof. (Dr.) Niraj Kumar, the club creates a thoughtful space for constitutional discourse through expert lectures, reading lists, and student-led forums.

Submission Guidelines
- Word Limit: 1,500–2,000 words (excluding footnotes); title ≤12 words.
- Content: Garamond, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, justified.
- Footnotes: OSCOLA 4th Edition, Garamond, 10 pt, 1.0 spacing.
- Original/unpublished work; <20% similarity; no AI use; no co-authorship; no registration fees.
Eligibility & Key Dates
- Open to undergraduate/postgraduate law students from any recognized Indian university.
- Submission Deadline: March 1, 2026.
- Results Declaration: March 15, 2026.

- Winner: Certificate of Merit + publication in NLUD J4C Newsletter.
- Runner-Up: Certificate of Merit + publication on NLUD J4C Online Opinion Page.
- Top 10 Entries: Certificate of Merit.
