TLH, Advocates & Solicitors successfully represents Transcom DMCC in Cross-Border Enforcement of DIFC Decree
16 February 2026
TLH, Advocates & Solicitors successfully represented M/s Transcom DMCC, Dubai, UAE, before the Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh High Court in Civil Revision Petition Nos. 1206 and 1212 of 2025. The matter arose from proceedings for enforcement of a decree passed by the DIFC Courts, Dubai.
The Civil Revision Petitions were preferred against orders that had the effect of obstructing enforcement of a decree passed by DIFC, Dubai. The Hon’ble High Court allowed the revisions, thereby affirming the enforceability of decrees passed by courts of reciprocating territories.
Notably, the UAE has been notified as a reciprocating territory by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, and foreign decrees from such jurisdictions are entitled to due recognition and enforcement under Indian law.
Emphasizing that substantive justice must prevail, the Hon’ble Court declined to allow procedural technicalities to defeat lawful enforcement. The ruling reinforces India’s pro-enforcement stance in cross-border matters and strengthens commercial confidence in the recognition of foreign judgments.
The TLH disputes team comprised Tagore Yadav Yaragorla (Partner) and Manthan Raj Sharma (Associate).
This matter highlights TLH’s expertise in cross-border enforcement of decrees and arbitral awards.
