
About the Opportunity
The Research Internship for the Monsoon Session 2026 is open to recent post‑graduates or students currently pursuing postgraduate studies who have strong analytical, writing, and communication skills and an understanding of India’s political and governance systems. The selected intern will assist in preparing research documents, policy briefs, analysing legislative developments, and supporting parliamentary work.
Eligibility
Candidates must be pursuing or have completed a Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Economics, Finance, Journalism, or related fields. They should demonstrate a strong interest in public policy, Indian politics, and governance; possess excellent writing skills in both English and Hindi; be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); work under tight deadlines; have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally; and have access to a personal laptop.

Responsibilities
The intern will conduct research and analysis on parliamentary proceedings, legislative bills, parliamentary questions, and national/regional issues; draft research documents, policy briefs, speech pointers, and background notes; monitor daily news cycles, ministry updates, and government releases; support data compilation, fact‑checking, and synthesis into concise briefs; and maintain trackers for parliamentary developments, political trends, and media narratives.
Preferred Experience
Priority may be given to candidates with prior experience in academic institutions, think tanks, government bodies, or research organisations (including internships) and/or knowledge of parliamentary rules and procedures.
