About the Opportunity
Square Circle Clinic is a leading criminal justice initiative under NALSAR University of Law that works on legal‑aid, criminal‑justice reform, and intersectional issues such as mental health, media, law, and policy. The 2026 Internship Programme immerses students in live criminal‑justice and legal‑aid work in India, with opportunities to contribute to research, advocacy, and field‑level interventions.
Eligibility
Applications are open to students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in Law, Humanities and Social Sciences, Psychology and Psychiatry, Media and Communication, or related disciplines. Preference is given to candidates with a strong interest in criminal justice, human rights, and mental‑health law.
Duration
Full‑time internships: 4–12 weeks.
Part‑time internships: minimum 12 weeks.
Mode and Locations
Primarily in‑person internships at Square Circle Clinic offices in New Delhi, Pune, and Nagpur. Remote internships may be considered only in exceptional cases.
Stipend
- Full‑time internships: ₹10,000 per 4 weeks.
- Part‑time internships: ₹5,000 per internship period.
Stipend is payable only upon successful completion of the internship.
Application Deadline
31 May 2026.
