About the Opportunity
• Applications are invited from Indian nationals for contractual Law Research Associate positions at NCLT Guwahati and Kolkata Benches.
• Total Vacancies: 2 (tentative – one in each bench).
Essential Qualifications
• Graduate in Law (3-year or 5-year integrated course) with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a BCI-recognised institution.
• Law Degree or LL.M. obtained within the last 2 years, or final-year law students (with proof of graduation before joining).
• Age not above 30 years as on 18.07.2025.
• Strong research, analytical and writing abilities, with proficiency in legal databases (eSCR, SCC Online, Manupatra, LexisNexis, Westlaw).
• Competent in computer use, especially MS Office.
• Knowledge of Company Law and IBC is required.
Disqualifications
• Currently engaged in any other honorarium-based appointment.
• Facing criminal charges involving moral turpitude.
• Under disciplinary proceedings by any Bar Council or authority.
Remuneration
• Fixed monthly pay: Rs 60,000 (no DA/HRA/other allowances).
• Same remuneration for both Guwahati and Kolkata Benches.
Period of Contract
• Initial contract for 1 year, extendable annually (max 3 years subject to performance and approval).
• Early discontinuation possible with two weeks’ notice.
• No entitlement to regular employment; contractual only.
• Exit before 1 year requires six weeks’ prior notice.
• Joining date as per appointment order; delays not entertained.
