About the Course
This Advanced Certificate Course on New Criminal Laws and Drafting offers a structured understanding of India’s new criminal justice framework through the BNS, BNSS, and BSA, enacted in 2023.
The course covers five key modules: an introduction to the new laws and their rationale, detailed study of substantive offences under the BNS, procedural aspects under the BNSS including FIRs, trials, and bail, and evidentiary rules under the BSA such as burden of proof and electronic evidence. The final module provides practical training in criminal drafting, including complaints, charge sheets, and bail applications.
