About the Membership Opportunity

Tamil Nadu Legal Rights Consortium, under NLRC-WICCI, invites applications for 2026-27 State Legal Rights Consortium membership, open exclusively to female law students committed to rights promotion and protection. Each state consortium comprises minimum 20 members, a Vice President, and President driving advocacy, awareness, legal aid, legislative engagement, and rights monitoring at state level.

Objectives

  • Advocate passionately for legal reforms and rights protection.
  • Educate public on rights and empower their exercise.
  • Provide pro bono legal aid through advocate networks for access to justice.
  • Collaborate with lawmakers for justice-aligned legislation.
  • Monitor and report rights violations diligently.

Eligibility

  • Women law students from BCI-recognized Tamil Nadu universities/colleges or Tamil Nadu residents.
  • Prior internships with legal firms/organizations/advocates.
  • Experience in social media, PR, graphics/visual content (Adobe/Canva proficiency).

Role as Member

  • Shape strategic vision and multi-year roadmap with leadership.
  • Build solutions-oriented leadership team through role clarity and unified communication.
  • Lead community education/outreach aligned to consortium mandate.
  • Develop policy recommendations and advocate with government/industry stakeholders.
