About the opportunity
• Internships are full-time and run for one calendar month, starting on the first working day and ending on the last working day.
• The Final Year (Follow-On) Internship is the only paid internship under ALG’s program.
• Only students who have completed a Pre-Final Year Internship at ALG and received a recommendation are eligible.
• The internship may serve as an assessment internship for final placement.
Eligibility
• Only for students in the final year of their law degree program.
• Must have completed a Pre-Final Year Internship at ALG.
• Must have received a recommendation to apply for the Final Year (Follow-On) Internship.
• A minimum 6-month gap must exist between the Pre-Final and Final Year internships.
• The applicant must remain a full-time law student during the internship.
Types of internship
• Pre-Final Year Internship
• For students in the pre-final year of their law program.
• Unpaid and only one internship allowed at this stage.
• Final Year (Follow-On) Internship
• Only for those who interned at ALG during their pre-final year and received a recommendation.
• May be a paid assessment internship depending on placement consideration.
• Stipend is Rs. 12,500/- for paid assessment internships.
• Final Year (Regular) Internship
• For final-year students who didn’t intern at ALG in the pre-final year or didn’t receive a recommendation.
• Unpaid and only one internship allowed at this stage.
Categories of internship
• Patents
• Includes patents, designs, plant varieties, technology, and telecom.
• Only students with a graduation degree in science are eligible.
• General IP
• Covers core IP and related areas including environmental and consumer protection law.
• Open to law students without a science background.
