• It promotes innovation, protects IPR, and supports research and development.


About the internship

• The IPR Internship Programme is offered by CGPDTM under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
• It aims to provide practical exposure to intellectual property laws and administration.


Eligibility

• UG/PG students in Law, Science, Engineering, and related fields (who have completed their course).
• Research scholars with an interest in IPR.
• Professionals seeking exposure to IPR frameworks.


Duration

Online: 30 days (one daily session).
Offline: 30 days (UG students) | 45 days | 6 months | up to 12 months (as per CGPDTM’s discretion).


Key objectives

• Exposure to IP administration.
• Understanding of IP laws, rules, and procedures.
• Promoting IPR research aligned with national policy.
• Hands-on training through available facilities.

• Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, and other IP offices (Patents, Designs, Trademarks, GI, Copyright, etc.).
