About the UN Innovation & Analytics Hub

The Innovation & Analytics Hub is the UN’s first dedicated centre for innovation and analytics in human rights, supporting the Secretary-General’s “Quintet of Change” (data, digital transformation, innovation, foresight, behavioral science). It leverages AI, data insights, and emerging technologies for risk detection, early warning, and evidence-based human rights decision-making.

Internship Details

  • Duration: 3-6 months with flexible start dates.
  • Mode: In-person in Geneva or remote/hybrid based on role.
  • Fully integrated into teams for real-world projects with global impact.

Responsibilities

  • Research, data analysis, and developing reports/presentations.
  • Support digital innovation, global trends/risks monitoring.
  • Collaborate on policy insights, tools across human rights workstreams.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in/completed graduate degree (Master’s/PhD) OR final year bachelor’s.
  • Fields: Political Science, International Relations, Law, Data Science/Statistics, Computer Science/IT, Economics/Development Studies.
  • Indian applicants eligible; English fluency required (UN languages advantageous).

Additional Information

  • Unpaid; interns cover travel, accommodation, visa, living expenses (no UN fees).
