Here’s your chance! The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is inviting applications from enthusiastic students of Law, Economics, Management, Finance, and Regulatory Governance for its monthly Internship Programme.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work with one of India’s key regulatory bodies, get mentored by experts, and contribute meaningfully to competition advocacy and research.
Who Can Apply?
If you’re an Indian national and currently studying in one of the following programmes, you’re eligible:
• Law Students – 2nd/3rd year (3-year course) or 4th/5th year (5-year course), LLM students
• Economics & Management – MA/MSc (Economics), MBA, final year of 5-year integrated programme
• Regulatory Governance – MA/MSc
• Professional Courses – Final stage students of CA/CS/CMA
Internship Duration & Format
• When: Starts on the first working day of each month
• Duration: Typically 1 month, extendable up to 3 months with a recommendation
• Mode: Full-time, in-person (you’ll be based at the Commission)
• Team: You’ll be placed in different divisions and assigned to a supervising officer
• Wrap-up: Every intern must give a presentation on their work to qualify for a certificate and honorarium
Perks & Honorarium
• Monthly honorarium of ₹15,000
• Access to CCI’s resources – workspace, computer, and library
• Certificate of Internship on successful completion
What You’ll Need to Apply
• Fill out the prescribed online application form on the CCI website
• A recommendation letter from your institution
• A Statement of Purpose (around 200 words) briefly describing your intended research topic
• Submit your application by the 1st of the month prior to your preferred internship month
• (Example: To intern in October, apply by 1st September)
A Few Ground Rules
• Interns must maintain discipline and confidentiality
• Your research during the internship becomes the intellectual property of CCI
• No honorarium or certificate if you skip the final presentation
