About the Internship
The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) at NUSRL Ranchi, supported by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, offers law students a hands-on opportunity to engage in consumer protection research and policy drafting. Both online and offline modes are available, with a strong emphasis on real-world research, academic writing, and awareness activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. program.
- Students in their 2nd year or above in a 5-year integrated LL.B. course.
- LL.M. students from recognized law institutions.
Internship Structure
- Duration: Minimum 30 working days.
- Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (full-time; online/offline).
- Only 5 students per month are selected (combined for both online and offline).
- Induction: Internship starts with an orientation on consumer law provisions.
- Deliverable: Interns must present a preliminary paper/report within a week and a final presentation four days before the internship ends. Four original pieces of writing are required for successful completion.
Skills Required
- Strong legal research skills and proficiency with tools like SCC Online and Manupatra.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Collaborative teamwork and adherence to high academic integrity.
Honorarium
- No stipend or honorarium; certificate awarded upon successful completion.

- Applications must be submitted at least one month before the proposed internship start date.
- Post-selection, candidates must provide:
- Recommendation letter from their institution (as per provided format, Annexure A).
- Undertaking confirming agreement to terms (Annexure B), including confidentiality, IP rights, and adherence to CCRP policies.
