About the Opportunity
• Organising Body: Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India
• Programme for: Women students, scholars, teachers, and social activists from non-Tier I cities or rural areas
• Purpose: To orient participants with MWCD’s policies and programmes, and encourage active engagement with women & child-related policy issues
Eligibility
• Women students, teachers, social activists, or scholars
• Must be enrolled in or affiliated with any academic or non-academic institution
• Must belong to rural or non-Tier I city regions
Responsibilities
• Undertake short pilot projects or micro-studies related to MWCD schemes
• Participate in policy review and field-level programme assessment
Selection Criteria
• Selection by a duly constituted committee
• Final list of selected interns will be published on the Internship Portal
• A candidate once selected is not eligible to apply again
Stipend & Accommodation
• Monthly Stipend: ₹20,000
• Travel: Reimbursement for AC bus / 3-tier AC train travel (to and from Delhi)
• Accommodation: Hostel on a triple-sharing basis with essential furnishings (mattress not included)
