About DPIIT-IPR Chair, CNLU
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, launched the IPR Chair initiative to promote education, research, and development in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). CNLU was granted its IPR Chair in 2023, headed by Prof. (Dr.) Subhash C. Roy. The Chair focuses on research, policy analysis, outreach, and capacity-building programmes in IPR to promote awareness and innovation.
About the Internship
The DPIIT-IPR Chair invites applications for a paid internship to engage in research and writing work related to IPRs. Interns will assist in academic projects, legal analysis, and preparation of research papers for publication.
Eligibility
- Open to students pursuing B.A. LL.B (Hons.) / B.B.A. LL.B (Hons.) / 3-Year LL.B.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of IPR is essential.
- Proficiency in English and computer skills required.
- Preference given to candidates with published papers, completed IPR certificate courses, or summer/winter school training in IPR.
Duration
- One month (extendable up to three months, depending on performance)
Internship Requirements
- Interns must draft one research paper suitable for publication in a Scopus-indexed journal during their internship to qualify for the stipend.
Stipend
- Rs. 10,000 per month per student.
