• NHRC is responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights relating to life, liberty, equality, and dignity as guaranteed by the Constitution and enforceable by Indian courts
About the internship
• NHRC is inviting applications for the “Online Short Term Internship Programme – August 2025”
• The internship is fully online and full-time
Eligibility
• Students in the 3rd year and onwards of a 5-year integrated PG course
• Students in the 3rd or final year of a graduation course
• Students of any semester/year of a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma course
• Research scholars in any stream
• Must have scored at least 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent academic courses
• Candidates must clearly mention the calculated percentage along with the CGPA/SGPA conversion formula
• Age must not exceed 28 years as on July 1, 2025
• Availability for the full internship period is mandatory
Duration
• 2 weeks: from August 11 to August 22, 2025
• Work timings: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

Stipend & award
• A stipend of Rs. 2000 will be provided upon successful completion
• Certificate of participation will be awarded based on:
• Attendance, punctuality, discipline, and active participation in sessions
• Timely submission of project presentation, project report, and book review

• Statement of Purpose (250 words) titled ‘Statement of Purpose (SoP) for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship’
• Self-attested scanned copies of marksheets from Class XII onward
• Year/semester-wise mark sheets of the current course
• Recommendation letter/email from HOD/Dean/Principal in the prescribed format
