Eligibility

• University degree/master’s in Law with excellent academic achievement
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in legal and governance roles, specifically related to real estate and leasing in Delhi NCR
• Strong knowledge of Indian and Delhi NCR-specific laws, governance systems, and legal frameworks
• Deep experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, especially for retail and office leasing
• Familiarity with litigation procedures and regulatory matters in India
• Strong collaboration and leadership abilities in a multi-dimensional, ever-evolving business environment
• Competence in digital research and legal information processing
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work independently on business-critical matters


Responsibilities

• Support and secure the legal aspects of IKEA’s business operations in line with Ingka Group’s legal framework
• Assist the Country Legal Manager in reviewing legal matters across Ingka India’s functions
• Build and maintain strong relations with business stakeholders to ensure sustainable and compliant legal solutions
• Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements and other real estate-related legal documents for retail and office spaces in Delhi NCR
• Proactively assess business risks and legal obligations to protect the company’s interests
• Coordinate with Group Legal & Governance to ensure national alignment with global legal strategies
• Contribute to the execution of IKEA India’s business plan and legal roadmap
• Train and guide internal teams on legal and regulatory compliance
• Stay current with legal developments, including changes in legislation and key case law
