About the opportunity
• Deloitte Shared Services India LLP is inviting online applications for the position of Associate Director.
• The position is based in Mumbai and focuses on data privacy and compliance leadership.
Essential qualification and experience
• Degree in Law or membership of ICSI, ICAI, or ICMAI.
• Preferable additional qualification in Science, IT, or Engineering.
• Preferred certifications: IAPP, DCPP, ISO 27001:2022.
• Working knowledge of NIST, ISO 27701:2019 frameworks.
• 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in large organisations.
• Expertise in implementing data privacy frameworks and compliance processes.
Roles and responsibilities
• Draft and review privacy policies, impact assessments, and compliance practices.
• Interpret and apply the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other relevant privacy laws including GDPR.
• Integrate privacy compliance into systems, processes, and organisational practices.
• Advise on IT infrastructure adaptations for managing privacy risk.
• Draft and review cross-border Data Protection and Transfer Agreements.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities on privacy matters.
• Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and client-oriented thinking.
