Essential Qualification and Experience
Additional Government Advocate & Additional Legal Adviser
- Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum 13 years experience as a member of State Judicial Service, or superior post in State legal department, or Central Government servant with legal affairs experience, or qualified legal practitioner.
Assistant Legal Adviser & Assistant Government Advocate
- Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years experience as a member of State Judicial Service, or superior post in State legal department, or Central Government servant with legal affairs experience.
- Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in Law with at least 5 years teaching or research experience in Law.
- Or qualified legal practitioner of minimum 30 years.
Deputy Government Advocate & Deputy Legal Adviser
- Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years experience as a member of State Judicial Service, or superior post in State legal department, or Central Government servant with legal affairs experience.
- Alternatively, a Master’s Degree in Law with at least 8 years teaching or research experience in Law.
- Or qualified legal practitioner of minimum 35 years.
