About the job
• The Crime & Punishment team focuses on reforms in criminal law, enforcement, and corrections
• Role is full-time and based at Vidhi’s New Delhi office
• Duration: 6 months (renewal subject to performance)
Roles & responsibilities
• Conduct legal, qualitative, and quantitative research on criminal justice issues
• Engage with officials, academics, and civil society for research and drafting projects
• Prepare reports, notes, presentations, articles, and blogs
• Participate in consultations, make videos/podcasts, and contribute to Vidhi’s outreach
• Assist in ideating and executing new projects
Eligibility
Essential:
• Undergraduate degree in law
• 0–2 years of work experience in criminal justice or related research
• Strong research, drafting, and communication skills
Desirable:
• Postgraduate degree in law, criminology, or public policy
• Experience in fieldwork, stakeholder engagement, and empirical research
• Prior publications in relevant platforms

• Location: Delhi (Offline)
• Duration: 6 months (full-time)
• Remuneration: Based on qualifications and experience
