About the Job
Unilever seeks a Legal Associate for its Legal Powerhouse Team supporting Research & Development and Innovation. The role manages IP matters, contracts, governance, and compliance while mitigating legal risks for business teams.
Eligibility
- LL.B. (LL.M. preferred) from a recognized university.
- 4–7 years PQE in corporate legal departments or law firms.
- Strong IP advisory and contract review experience.
- Excellent English communication, stakeholder management, risk analysis, and business-oriented solutions.
- Experience in contract lifecycle management, complex negotiations, and multinational/FMCG/B2C environments.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, material transfer agreements, research/clinical services contracts.
- Manage contract risks and negotiations protecting Unilever’s interests.
- Advise on IP protection, confidentiality, and asset safeguarding.
- Support governance/compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Simplify legal issues for R&D stakeholders with practical guidance.
