About the opportunity
• DIC is hiring a Consultant (Techno-Legal) to drive data protection compliance and digital office implementation
• Role requires interfacing with legal and tech frameworks, especially under the DPDP Act 2023
Key responsibilities
• Analyse DPDP Act 2023 and strategize its implementation within digital office structures
• Collaborate with IT/legal teams to ensure compliance and infrastructure upgrades
• Frame data protection policies and conduct risk assessments
• Oversee legal compliance in vendor contracts and tech adoption
• Conduct employee training and stay updated on regulatory developments
• Liaise with regulatory authorities as required
Eligibility criteria
• LL.B. or related bachelor’s degree; master’s in law preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or digital governance
• Strong knowledge of the DPDP Act 2023 and related legal frameworks
• Certifications like CIPP/CIPM are a plus
Skills required
• Strong understanding of data protection and privacy laws
• Experience with tech-enabled compliance and digital transformation
• Excellent communication, legal drafting, and risk assessment skills
• Ability to interpret legal provisions and apply them practically
