About the Position

Kotak Mahindra Bank invites applications for the role of Legal Manager (Loan Against Property) based in Bangalore. The position focuses on mortgage lending legal support, property due diligence, and risk mitigation in secured lending.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate degree in Law (LLB) as a regular full-time student from a recognized university; Postgraduate degree in Law preferred.
• Experience in the finance industry, preferably banking and finance sector with a proven track record.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive contract documents that mitigate organizational risk.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (reading and writing); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Review finance facility agreements and related documents.
• Conduct due diligence on properties intended for mortgage.
• Provide legal advice and opinions on various matters.
• Review and opine on Title Search Reports for immovable properties.
• Handle legal issues under pressure with minimal supervision, familiar with IBC, SARFAESI, NCLT, and immovable property laws.
• Work as a process-oriented team player tackling company legal challenges.
