About Term I 2026

MEA invites applications for Internship 2026 (Term – I) covering April to September 2026, with 30 vacancies announced. Interns work under supervision of division heads, conducting research, analysis, and other assigned tasks.

Eligibility

  • Indian citizens and OCI card holders for MEA Headquarters (foreign nationals eligible for Missions/Posts abroad).
  • Graduate degree or equivalent (or 3rd year of 5-year course) before internship start; undergraduates eligible for off-site roles.
  • Preference for excellent academic records and research scholars; age limit 30 years.

Key Details

  • Duration: 1 to 6 months (extensions case-by-case at HQ).
  • Mode: On-site (Ministry premises); no off-site at HQ/Missions.​
  • Stipend: No financial remuneration; certificate issued on completion.
