About NITI Aayog Internship

The scheme provides short-term exposure for undergraduate/postgraduate students and research scholars from recognised Indian/foreign universities to NITI’s verticals/divisions. Interns contribute policy inputs like empirical analysis, briefing reports, and papers while learning government functioning.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate: Completed/appeared 2nd year/4th semester bachelor’s; ≥85% in Class 12.
  • Postgraduate/Research: Completed/appeared 1st year/2nd semester PG/PhD; ≥70% in graduation.
  • Recent graduates (final exam completers waiting for higher studies): ≥70% cumulative; gap ≤6 months from result declaration.

Mode, Location & Duration

  • Mode: On-site.
  • Location: New Delhi (NITI Bhawan).
  • Duration: Minimum 6 weeks, maximum 6 months (certificate only for full completion; 75% attendance required).

Deadline

  • Applications: 1st–10th every month (e.g., April 1–10 for June start; apply 2 months ahead).
