About the Competition Commission of India (CCI)

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body established on 14 October 2003 under the Competition Act, 2002. It enforces competition law across India and prevents activities with appreciable adverse effects on competition.

About the Opportunity

CCI invites applications for its legal internship program, offering hands-on exposure to competition law enforcement, regulatory work, and policy research. The program is highly competitive with limited seats each month.

Eligibility

  • 2nd/3rd year of 3-year LLB (post-graduation) or 4th/final year of 5-year integrated LLB.
  • LLM students also eligible.
  • From recognized institutions with exposure to Competition Law preferred.
  • Indian nationals only; students with confirmed placements ineligible.

Duration & Seats

  • Duration: Normally 1 month starting 1st working day of the month; 2-3 months possible with institutional recommendation.
  • Seats: 15 per month.

Stipend & Certification

  • Stipend: ₹15,000 per month honorarium.
  • Certification: Electronic certificate issued on satisfactory completion as certified by mentor.

Location

Delhi (CCI Office: 10th Floor, Tower-1, Kidwai Nagar (East), Opposite AIIMS).

Application Procedure

Applications must be in the prescribed format with institutional recommendation and 200-word Statement of Purpose. Submit by 1st of preceding month (e.g., for Feb 2026, apply by Jan 31).
