About Civis’ Policy Leaders

Civis works to help citizens understand laws and policies that affect their daily lives and share feedback on these in real time. The Policy Leaders program trains students in civic participation and public policy engagement.

About the Internship

Interns support Civis’ public consultation work by making laws and draft policies accessible to citizens. The role combines legal/policy research, communication, and on-ground outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Summarise draft laws and policies open for consultation into citizen-friendly language.
  • Conduct detailed background research on upcoming laws and policies.
  • Write articles and policy analyses for Civis’ blog and other publications.
  • Create regional-language explainer videos for outreach.
  • Participate in on-ground awareness and citizen engagement activities.

Duration and Mode

  • Duration: Minimum 12 weeks between January and March 2026, extendable with coordinator approval.
