About the Opportunity
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) offers internships providing practical exposure to renewable energy sector functioning, policy, research, and implementation. Interns attached to senior officers across programme divisions gain hands-on experience.
Eligibility
Students pursuing graduate/postgraduate degrees in Engineering, Management, Law, Science, Renewable Energy from recognized universities/institutions (India/abroad). Professionals working in renewable energy sector at national/international organizations/NGOs also eligible.
Duration
2 to 6 months; conducted twice yearly based on MNRE requirements. No extensions or repeat internships permitted.
Mode
On-site (physical internship only for stipend eligibility).
Number of Interns
Maximum 20 interns per year.
Stipend
₹15,000 per month for physical internships only (no stipend for virtual).
Work Requirements
Work under senior officials in various divisions; submit final report/paper; possible HRD Division presentation/seminar.
Application Procedure
Apply online via official MNRE portal at least 1 month before joining (not more than 3 months in advance). Applications accepted preferably January and July. Mention area of interest clearly.
