
About the Opportunity
Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) offers internship program for law students providing practical experience in administrative law, judicial processes, and functioning of quasi-judicial body. Interns learn Administrative Tribunals Act 1985, CAT Procedure Rules, Practice Rules, and observe filing, listing, maintenance of judicial records.
Eligibility
Law students enrolled in recognized Law Colleges/Universities. Applications require recommendation letter from college addressed to Principal Registrar, CAT Principal Bench, New Delhi and valid student identity card.
Duration
Minimum 4 weeks starting 1st working day of calendar month, extendable to maximum 6 weeks upon written request, performance evaluation, and Competent Authority approval.
Number of Positions
Maximum 5 interns per batch.
Mode
Offline at CAT Principal Bench, New Delhi.
Internship Guidelines
Supervised by Deputy Registrar (Judicial); daily attendance marking; work with staff/PPS/PS of Chairman/Member; strict confidentiality; no other internships; formal dress code; minimal mobile use; unpaid; interns bear all expenses; daily reporting; monthly briefing; final presentation and detailed report required.
Certification
Internship Certificate issued upon successful evaluation of completion report, forwarded to Law College/University via email.
Application Procedure
Submit application with College Identity Card and Recommendation Letter addressed to Principal Registrar, Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi. Approved applicants invited by Competent Authority.
