
About the Opportunity
PRS Legislative Research is a leading non‑profit research group dedicated to strengthening India’s democracy by making Parliament and state legislatures more effective, transparent, and participatory. The research internship offers hands‑on exposure to legislative tracking, policy analysis, and research on parliamentary and state‑level developments.
Eligibility
Candidates must have a deep interest in the working of Parliament and the legislative process in India. A strong background in public policy, law, governance, or social sciences is preferred. Applicants must be able to work in‑person at the PRS office in New Delhi.
Stipend
This is an unpaid internship; no remuneration or accommodation is provided.
Mode and Location
In‑person internship at PRS Legislative Research, 3rd Floor, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, 212, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi – 110002.
Duration
Flexible, typically 4–8 weeks; exact dates are assigned on a rolling basis depending on availability and project requirements.
Application Requirements
- A short Statement of Purpose (maximum 500 words)
- An up‑to‑date resume in PDF format
- A writing sample on any policy issue (maximum 1000 words) in PDF format, or a relevant design work sample (up to two pages) in PDF format
